Official Opening of Curtain Call by Lilly Otasevic

All are welcome to join us for the official opening of Curtain Call, a new public art piece by artist Lilly Otasevic on the Carlisle Street facade of the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in downtown St. Catharines.

The Curtain Call opening will mark one of the first events event of the 3rd annual Celebration of Nations 2019 | official event at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre. The weekend includes 40+ free and ticketed events.

Also, all are welcome to join us for an artist talk with Lilly Otasevic and Celebration of Nations Artistic Producer Tim Johnson on Saturday 7 September @ 12nn in the Joy Williams Lobby (upper PAC lobby).

The Carlisle Street Public Art Project is partially funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage – Canada 150 program, as a Legacy project of Celebration of Nations.

The Carlisle Street Public Art Project was facilitated through the Cultural Services Section of Parks, Recreation and Culture Services (PRCS) department with assistance from the City’s Public Art Advisory Committee through the guidance of the City’s Public Art Policy, which “strives to create vibrant public spaces that reflect the diversity of our community and engage its residents and visitors with quality works of public art.”

Lilly Otasevic, has successfully completed several public art projects both indoor and outdoor in areas such as Waterloo, Burlington, Toronto and Pickering. Otasevic’s focus of interest is in cultural diversity and ecological themes.
