Silversmith Brewing Company – Devils & Details Review

By Chris Illich

On January 8 2016, Silversmith Brewing Company released their latest one-off, the “Dry Hopped Golden Strong” Devils & Details.

The pour is light – a nice translucent straw-like colour, with a small amount of head.

The nose produces a perfume-y aroma, with esters of pineapple and banana, and the beer tastes of spices, orange and citrus, caramel, toffee and Belgian yeast.

The flavor is a good balance between the Belgian yeast and the fruity esters and makes for a warming drink to sip on.

The alcohol is not hidden in this beer, the high alcohol yield at 9.2.% abv, gives it a strong taste, without being overpowering.

Devils & Detail is available on tap and in bottle at Silversmith Brewing Company, but get there fast as this limited release is sure to be a crowd pleaser during this cold January.
